TENTH PHOTO RECONNAISSANCE SQUADRON
PETERSON FIELD - COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.
February 22, 1943
Dear Prof:
Since I am finally becoming annoyed by the delay of the Wagner Bulletin and noticed reaching me I must write this belated letter now. The cause of the delay was no fault of yours or anyone else’s at Wagner. It was caused by the circuitous route of such materials in reaching me. Even though I am stationed here in Colorado for seven months now my mail from Wagner is yet addressed to March Field, California. Since I enjoy hearing from Wagner I would appreciate it if you would see to it that my address is changed on your records.
It certainly was a thrill to read news of so many Wagnerians in the service.
[Page 2]
Of many I had no idea they were in the armed forces, and of those whose duty I was aware of I had no idea of where they might possibly be.
It might interest you to hear that I ran into an old Wagnerian here at the Air Base many months. Last July or August I was surprised to meet Ockie Blomquist in the uniform of a second lieutenant, a flyer in our Air Corps. That was the only meeting we had and I am interested in his present whereabouts.
My duties here at the present are in photography. I am lab chief of the photographic laboratory of our outfit. I have trained and sent into action many men and hope to follow them to more active zones in the not too far distant future.
Give my regards to Doc. Davidheiser, Doc. Helfelbower, Herb Sutter, and any others who might remember me.
Sincerely,
(Tech./Sergeant) Irving Green
