Dear Prof,
Yesterday a copy of the "Wagner College Bulletin" greeted me which I was happy to receive - Any news from Wagner is inspiring and appreciated.
Since coming in on D-day here in France I have covered considerable territory and have visited a good number of places; The city of Nancy is one of them.
This season has been quite rainy and the mud has been thick making things cumbersome. While we were out getting one pair of shoes wet, we had the other pair drying - but now that has been remedied by the issuance of overshoes which we really needed. Talking along the lines of the weather, we have had our first snow and from all indications we will have a "White Christmas."
At present we are pretty fortunate to have our quarters in a house instead of tents especially now when it freezes at night.
[Page 2]
For out living quarters we have wired the place so we have electricity for the lights and radio - Along with that we have acquired a stove which makes our room comfortable.
News is at a premium - at least that which the censor will aprove. I did however run into a friend from back home who in turn had seen my brother when he was stationed in Iceland - We enjoyed a lengthy chat.
Thanks again for remembering me with a copy of the Bulletin - My best regards to all
With Every Good Wish,
Harold
