Text

Wednesday, 14
President C.C. Stoughton
Wagner College
Staten Island, N.Y.C.
Dear Prof,
Being temporarily hospitalized with my trick knee, I thought I would thank you again for your letter to the Air Corp, even though it was of no avail. I was rejected on the grounds I feared — insufficient math.
I have been in Alabama ten days now, still unassigned. The camp here is to move more or less bodily to barracks, in the next 30 days. Three new training battalions will be formed, and I suspect that there will be a job waiting in the new set-up.
A copy of the October Bulletin has reached me somewhat circuitously, and was interesting reading.
Sincerely,
Bruce H. Carney
