Dear Prof:
Greetings from Deutschland. We have been here for a short time now and are busy pushing the Germans back as fast as possible, having already followed them thru much of Belgium. It's a cold and snowy war, but I keep dry and warm most of the time in spite of the weather.
Last Sunday, at a chapel service in a bombed-out Belgian restaurant, I heard a fine short sermon based on the text "This one thing I do." You can well imagine what a fine experience it was for me. I think I spent the rest of the afternoon reviving memories of those good Wagner days.
Wesley is in the Philippines now - Kenneth is still in Kansas. We are covering all three fronts.
Write when you can, Prof - I haven't heard any Wagner news for a while now.
Sincerely,
Paul V. Rogler
