24 March 1945
Dear Dr. Stoughton,
During all these months of silence I have not forgotten The Stoughtons. I do get information about you from my weekly corresondence with The Deals.
The news of your leaving Wagner is hard to believe. What will Wagner do without President Stoughton? Certainly wish you and your fine partner the best in the new work. When you are travelling in Wisconsin, how about stopping in Madison. It looks as if I'll be here for the duration plus.
The other day I sent you some of the latest USAFI memos and forms. Enclosed a few revised Form 47's "Application for Credit for Educational

Achievement During Military Service" for Wagner's use. The registrar's office is no doubt already equipped with the Am. Council Handbook, "A Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services." This Handbook is the results of George P. Tuttle's fine work.
I also enclosed copies of a few mimeographed occupational and professional briefs. I have written these for USAFI distribution. As you probably know I am most ethusiastic about the USAFI program and am finding my work expremely interesing. Since the first of February, a [1st Bl.?] WAC and I have been serving as administrative assistants to Col. Hansen.

for a base there. The news from him have been very scarce during the last six months. Believe he's very happy with his overseas duties.
Hope Jeanne is enjoying her life as a WAVE officer. This headquarters has sixty enlisted Waves and two Wave officers. Most of them are quite happy with being in the service.
Many times I have wanted to write you what pleasant days those were for me at Wagner - both as a student and as a member of your admnistrative staff. I am especially grateful that my days were those while you were president.
The best to you, Mrs. Stoughton, Jeanne and Dan.
Sincerely,
Virginia Mackoy T.
Enclosed is a bit toward Wagner mortgage.
