Dear Dr. Stoughton -
Thanks very much for the Bulletins I've been receiving. Reading about all my old friends usually brings a spell of nostalgia, but I'm sincerely happy for their successes, and to know what's going on "up on the hill."
This letter is primarily one, however, of business. You see, I am very anxious to take some Extension courses under the Armed Forces Institute program and the question has come up as to accredition. What I would like to know is just which courses, and taken thru which schools, will be accepted for me by Wagner. I've a few required courses still wanting for my degree, which I would like to wipe off my record, so that when I return to finish, I can go right on with my major. I made a bit of a mess of a couple of years ago. I know I need a year of Philosophy, but don't remember just what all else. Would it be possible for you to provide this information for me?
I'm truly sorry that my correspondence these days has been lacking so badly. Reasons, of course, become excuses so I won't attempt anything beyond a humble apology. I assure you, tho, that I'm doing my best to make the most of all my opportunities and experiences. I've had some really wonderful ones in London and on the English coutryside, in Paris, in Belgium, and at the different places I've been stationed here.
Hoping this finds you and yours all well and happy.
Very sincerely, and with kindest personal regards,
George
