Dear Prof.
Well, I’m overseas again. This time it’s India. Hope that the next move will be to the States and that it’ll be permanent. From all outward indications it looks as though it might be rather soon. Now as for this land, India, there is more disease, poverty, and filth then I here to fore thought possible. Where one reads of the many diseases that are prevalent one cannot help but shudder. I’m more afraid of them then the Japs. Thus far I’ve been fortunate though. We live in bashas - a bamboo hut with a thatched roof. They are quite comfortable keeping out most of the heat of day. I know that the temperature has gone above 110 degrees. Will try to keep you posted as to events here. Best of luck on the new semester.
